Dr. Alex Jordan  began working with individuals with exceptionalities while in college as a part-time house parent in a group home for adults with intellectual disabilities.  After graduating from Georgia Southern University with a BA in Psychology he continued to work with adults with disabilities until 1988 when he joined the faculty of the Cedarwood Psychoeducational Program as a teacher of children with severe behavioral disorders and autism.  Dr. Jordan worked for fourteen years with the Cedarwood Program as a teacher, school liaison and a coordinator receiving invaluable experience.  While at Cedarwood Dr. Jordan received his MA in Special Education and an Ed. D. in Educational Leadership.

Since 2002 Dr. Jordan has worked with the Georgia Learning Resources System, first as a program specialist for Coastal and Southeast GLRS and currently as the Director of Southeast GLRS.

Dr. Kathy Harrell serves as AYP/Program Specialist for Southeast GLRS. Prior to taking this position in July, 2008, she worked in special education as a teacher for 22 years in elementary, middle and high schools in Glynn County. While a teacher at Brunswick High School, she helped begin the co-teaching model for that school. She served as Special Education Director for Wayne County from 2001-2007.

Kathy received B.S. Ed., M.S. Ed., and Ed.S. degrees in Special Education and Ed.D. degree in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University.

Administrative Assistant

Gail Morris began working with Southeast GLRS in September 2004 as Administrative Assistant for Dr. Alex Jordan. Before this Mrs. Morris worked seven years with Cedarwood GNETS as Program Evaluator. Her duties include preparing and entering Purchase Orders, Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Contract Preparation, and working with the Budget. She also helps with registration and file maintenance.

Part time Administrative Assistant

Tara Hendrix has over seven years of experience in the administrative assistant and secretarial fields and has been with Southeast GLRS for three years. In addition to registration management and preparing materials for trainings and workshops, she also catalogs and maintains the site library.
